La Clusaz - Skiing
We initially planned to go to the Spanish Pyrenees though due to the lack of snow opted for the French Alps. La Clusaz is a small skiing village in the French Alps with 115 runs across black, red, blue and green, and a highest point of 2600m.
As Tom had been travel restricted his preference was for a road trip from Barcelona to La Clusaz, so we set off early Saturday morning and arrived at La Clusaz mid afternoon. We checked into our apartment (Airbnb) and set about organising skis, snowboards, forfait (lift pass), food and snacks, and checking out the apres ski.
Tom had not been snowboarding for about 12 years, surprisingly he had not forgotten the techniques though lack of fitness which resulted in many sore muscles (was often found praying we would finish early). Over the week we managed to ski all the main areas and runs across the 3 valleys, and with the warm sunny days had to ensure we maintained our hydration.
