Marseille short break
So when all else fails and you just haven’t had enough of a good time in retirement….why not take a short break to the south of France to enjoy the beach, hiking and amazing long lost ex work colleagues?? So let’s do it!
Over 25 years ago I lived and worked in Provence, near Marseille. It was likely one of the best working environments of my career - the place I worked, the village I lived in and the people I worked with (…albeit Perth and Chevron comes a close 2nd!). I hadn’t seen any of the beach crowd (with the exception of one person) since I left and it was like it was yesterday. Beach party till 0100 when it was still a balmy 27 degrees!!! What a fabulous few days to top off just a brilliant, so far 6 months, in Europe.
What’s coming next? A motorcycle ride across Spain, to the NW tip - Galicia. A house sit for a week but with the 1200kms each way and the 40+ degree heat, the round trip will take nearer 3 weeks.
